Ernie Els

One of South Africa’s most successful golfers of all time, Ernie Els reached scratch at the age of 14. By 1992, he matched Gary Player with a hat-trick of SA Open, SA PGA and SA Masters titles. One of the world’s truly global golfers, Els has more than 60 victories including three majors. He won the World Match Play a record seven times. A former world number one, Els spent a record 756 weeks in the world top 10. Els will be inducted in the World Golf Hall of Fame in May 2011.
